Music is like playing the piano. First you must learn to play by the rules, then you must forget the rules and play from your heart.
Claude Roy
Our Departed Brothers
My brother Claude
April/16/1947 to March/14/2011
I first met Claude in Rouyn when he use to stand in the front doorway of the old Radio Hotel. He was just a kid then and his eyes were on the future to play drums in bands. Somewhere down the line he jammed with the Jades and I felt his soul on the drums and never forgot it. He was a natural, and that is a gift in music. When we put Illustration together we were looking for a drummer and I suggested Claude. The others said" Well hes so young and not much experience". I said yes but he IS a natural and a fast learner. The bottom line  is,he was  a great drummer and great human being. Like the Rolling Stone said about him.

Claude will be missed by many, and always remembered as a great musician and simple man. I will always love you my brother.
You will be missed by many my brother. Rest In Peace

My sincere condolences to Diane Ward
This is the last jam we  did together a few months ago. Sidewinder an old favorite of ours. although this was a rough cut and not totally finished, it still grooves.
